Parents & Teachers Association

The PTA is a group of enthusiastic parents and teachers, who give up their own time to help the school in various ways. Different events are organised to enable everyone to have fun, get to know each other and help raise extra funds for the school. We aim to organise at least one fund raising event each term, and encourage as much parent / student participation as possible.

Who can join The PTA?

The PTA is open to all parents and staff at school. A Committee is elected each year to carry out the running of the PTA. You are welcome to attend PTA meetings - you don't have to be on the Committee. The meetings are advertised within the monthly school news letter.

What type of help does it involve?

Our PTA members help organise a range of events and activities, and help out in school at various events. You can help in many different ways by:

  1. Attending PTA meeting and being part of decision making processes.
  2. Offering time to help arrange and organise an event.
  3. Supporting others in arranging events.
  4. Supporting members on the night of organised events by serving drinks /food/selling raffle tickets or just help clearing up at the end of the event.
  5. Serving refreshments at official school events such as carol services, option evening or school performances.

How are the PTA funds spent?

The PTA at Haybridge High School has helped fund the purchase of the following items over the past few years:

  • Books for our students at Prize Giving events
  • Glass display cabinet in our school reception
  • Games server for our ICT Games Club at lunchtimes
  • Donations towards the purchase our latest minibus
