Student Voice –
Is very active and very important at Haybridge. We have a very active student council – students even help to interview and appoint new teachers, so who better to answer some of your questions than the current Year 7 students:
Wiping out the worries!
“I was worried I wouldn’t have any friends, because my best friend went to a different high school, but I soon settled in, especially after the trip to Blackwell Court.”Alice Hyde.
“I was worried that people would tease me about my hearing aid but everyone was really nice and supportive. Some people were even jealous because it is so sparkly, so don’t worry about anything like that! “Elicia Payne.
“I was worried I’d get lost, but we were given a map with every classroom on it and I soon found my way around the school.”Hannah Fenton
“I was worried about the amount of homework, and what would happen if you were stuck, but the teachers really help –they will run through the homework with you if you go to them before the deadline.” Ben Core.
“We were worried about the work in our sets being too hard for us, but the teachers put us at a level of work we could cope with and they always help us.”Keelan Boyt and Jack Shakespeare.
“I was worried that I would get lots of detentions but now I know that if I stick to the rules but still have fun everything is fine, and I actually haven’t had a detention at all!” Jess Parsons.
I was worried that coming by myself would mean it would be hard to make friends, but with help from the teachers I got there in the end and now have lots of lovely friends.” Lara Mitchell.
