Sociology involves the study of society and the influences it has in shaping us as individuals. By studying Sociology you will better understand the world you live in whilst advancing your academic skills.

Sociology is taught in a range of ways to appeal to all types of learner. Teaching styles vary from teacher-led lessons to student discussions and presentations. All lesson are designed to be relevant and engaging.

Sociology is an excellent preparation for most courses at University because it teaches the skills of interpretation, analysis and evaluation. Most Sociology students go on to Higher Education courses.

The A-level course is assessed at the end of the two-year course. Assessment consists of three two-hour examinations and there is no coursework element.
