In the era of big data, where everyone and everything is being analysed for the purposes of research or marketing, being statistically literate is of huge importance. There are certain other courses where fluency in statistical methods is extremely helpful, so this course will complement A-levels in Science, Geography, Business Studies, Psychology, Sociology and Economics.

The skills developed in the study of statistics are increasingly important in the workplace and in higher education; most students who study some form of mathematics after GCSE improve their career choices and increase their earning potential.
